  ive been pondering my beliefs for a while now and ive come across things that i just cant accept.

  i was recently walking with a christian who stated that the universe couldnt just come from nothing.

  he said that the universe was so complex that it needed a designer, he also said something which ive heard before.

  There is a kind of grieving process to losing belief, it's painful, but worth it.

  I'm still grappling with mortality and the fact that I lived my first 40 years believing honestly that I might never die, it's a real kick in the teeth to now try and get my head around getting old and dying.

  she was watching it at my parents house just now.

  i asked what she was watching on my mums tablet and mum said whilst laughing 'oh sorry but she wants to watch bible stories' then all i heard was something about jehovah and keeping rooms tidy.

  No you did fine, set the ground rules and expect them to stick to it. If you never have that conversation setting the ground rules then this is the shit that will get pulled behind your back.

  The childs grandparents can be your worst nightmare as they view it as their god given right and duty to instruct the grandchildren in the ways of the cult at every opportunity unless you set the ground rules and enforce them without guilt or shame.

  I get phases of it,.... knock yourself out I say, if it's too strong mods will censor it which I find a shame, but it's not my site and i guess it can go too far sometimes but frankly the F word is just too useful to ignore.

  The only swearword i find offensive is the C word.

  suggestions for elder a nd co visit

  getting a visit tommorow our kids that are in are concerned as to why we are missing meetings.

  our family is basically ignored by the congregation long story we just don't want to go anymore.

  i have told the kids how rotten i have been treated and also i have had some seriou health issues but you know you should still be at the meetings.

  Who arranged it?

  Grin and bear it if you cant avoid it and dont say anything controversial.

  Lie or avoid if given the loyalty questions. (do you believe the fds is god chosen chanel / do you still believe in jehovah etc etc.)

  I would never allow myself to cornered into it in the 1st place but we all have different circumstances and paths to freedom.

  Keep what you say to a minimum and hopefully it will just be seen as "encouragment".

  So "fractions" are ok?

  Sperm and eggs are just fractions and dont count? If life is so sacred to you, your view on these two vital elements appears to require a rethink.
